Noah Ross Saves Neighbor's Life

2014 Oct 7

Noah Ross, son of Robert and Joan Ross of Palm Springs, recently stepped in during an emergency, saving the life of his neighbor Allen Levey.

Mr. Levey was home alone and began choking on a bite of food. He called his neighbors, the Ross family, and expressed his need for help. Without hesitation, Noah ran over to Mr. Levey's home and administered the Heimlich maneuver. The food was dislodged from Mr. Levey's throat, saving his life.

Mr. Levey, grateful for Noah's quick action, wrote a letter of recognition to Army and Navy Academy where Noah is a member of the Class of 2018. Noah had been referred to the Academy through the Levey family after their son Adam graduated from the school in 2007.

"Clearly, the past several years of his attendance at the Army and Navy Academy have instilled a strong sense of selflessness," says Mr. Levey. "Cadet Ross demonstrated his leadership abilities loud and clear. This Cadet sets a perfect example of the character building Army-Navy's program promotes and has achieved."
